Our Dogs

Lenny

No luck for Lenny - no one has come forward to claim this poor little guy. He is quite sweet and would like nothing more than to cuddle up and watch TV with you. He is about 11 pounds and in the 3 - 5 year old range. Lenny is in good health, has been fully vaccinated and neutered. He is just fine with other dogs, but when it comes to cats...

Momma

When animal-lover Halley approached a white dog she saw on the side of MLK Boulevard - that would soon be teeming with rush-hour traffic, the dog ran off into the woods. Consumed with worry, Halley returned after work armed with a leash and Wendy's cheeseburgers. To Halley's surprise, not only did she find the dog she would later name Momma, but also a young dog she would call Molly. When these two lonely, malnourished girls arrived at Halley's home...

Molly

Molly was found in the woods off of MLK Boulevard in Cleveland. Hungry and scared, she became attached to Momma (another stray). Luckily, Halley came to their rescue. She took both Molly and Momma into her home. When these two lonely, malnourished girls arrived at Halley's home, they settled in immediately with her two dogs and cat, and expressed their gratitude with wags and kisses. "These are two of the sweetest dogs I've ever met," Halley said.

RJ

RJ and canine sibling, Shilo were abandoned in their owner's rented house. Left alone & unsure of what the future would bring, these 2 dogs have 2 guardian angels. The first is the landlord who has been stopping by to feed and let the dogs out daily. This man has a heart of gold - he could have easily turned them out or sent them off to a shelter. The second is Deb K who got involved and has been working diligently to find RJ and Shilo a foster or adoptive home....

Shilo

Shilo and canine sibling, RJ were abandoned by their family in a rental property. Even before being abandoned, RJ and Shilo had been kept primarily in cages, and overfed to the point of becoming dangerously obese. Thanks to their two guardian angels (the landlord who stops in each morning and evening to feed them and let them out - and volunteer, Deb K who has come to their rescue), these boys are being looked after. These precious boys are loving family dogs. But until foster or

Charlie

When Underdog volunteer Lisa was driving home on 90 East, she noticed a dog walking on the side of the road. Her first thought was please let him be walking with someone. As Lisa exited, the dog ran up on a nearby porch. When she knocked on the door, the woman who came to the door said her neighbors moved and left the dog behind - about three months ago!! He had been living on the back porch under an old tarp...

Zor

Zor's rescue story began in October, when his mom died and family members simply left him behind in the hallway of an empty house, grieving for someone who would never return. A friend stepped in and saved him from starvation, but not from heartache and loneliness. Zor was relegated to a back porch, with outdoor dogs running at and terrifying the gentle boy who had nowhere to hide and no one to comfort him. A call from a concerned neighbor got the ball rolling, and Zor was re

Big Head Ted

Big Head Ted, as the City of Cleveland Kennel volunteers affectionately called the dog in cage #117 - is one of the 27 victims rescued from the dog fighting house in Cleveland on 12/22/2011. When Debby, one of our Underdog volunteers went to the kennel to help walk these dogs, she fell in love with Ted and his "big" personality and even "bigger" heart. So Cleveland Underdog Rescue decided to pull Ted from the kennel, foster him until he is ready for adoption an

Charity

She is very simply the perfect house dog who loves snuggling with her foster mom and happily entertains herself by tossing her toys into the air with glee! Her leg is completely healed, and so is Charity's heart! If not for Lisa's act of kindness, Charity would have died alone without the comfort of a kind word or gentle touch. Instead, she'll know nothing but kindness and love from this day forward.

Harlow

Harlow is a very sweet and loving girl. She has been steadily gaining weight at her foster dad's house. She is full of the usual puppy antics, but loves to please.

Scout

Looks like a mini Black Lab X - only weighs about 20 pounds. Found wandering the streets of South Euclid. We have found Scout to be very food aggressive - even when it comes to "people" food. She would do best in a home without young children and with an experienced dog owner. She currently resides with an older canine companion and does fine.
